Bold Mission Builders Project #2 – 2010

Marshall Baptist Church

Thomson, GA

Marshall Baptist Church needs help in construction of a new Youth Building.  We are partnering with the Georgia Baptist Builders on this project.  The new building will be 4,200 square feet.

Trees have been removed from the site and site preparation is in progress (as of February 27).  Slab to be poured by end of March or early April, depending on the weather.

April 26 – 30  Georgia Baptist Builders team members will cut studs, cut and assemble headers and window/door frames, and lay out the building.

May 1 – May 8  BMB framing team from Eagles Landing First and roofing team led by William Herndon will frame the building and get it dried in.  The goal is to have the roof on, windows and exterior doors installed, and house wrap installed.  Roof will be standing seam metal.

May 10 – June 11  Rough-in of electrical, plumbing and HVAC – An electrician from Marshall Baptist will do the electrical, plumbing will be contracted out, and (tentative) HVAC to be done by BMB team from First Baptist, Conyers, led by Ron Brown.

June 13 – 18  Wall insulation, sheetrock hanging, installation of soffit, facia and ceilings

July 11 – 16  Interior trim and painting, begin installation of grid for dropped ceiling – New BMB team from Poplar Springs North Baptist Church, Dublin.

The ceiling insulation, sheetrock finishing, floor covering and bricking will either be done by Georgia Baptist Builders teams or contracted out.
